Some Other General Info:

  • Almost all characters use they/them pronouns. They sometimes also use gendered language for each other. This isn't misgendering to them because the way gender works in this world is weird.

  • No, The Goat doesn't have a real name. Their name is The Goat. First name The. Last name Goat. Just how it is I'm afraid.

  • There will be 6 parts total + a short epilogue. Buckle in this will be a long one!

  • I am not very good at drawing and this is my first time writing characters/fiction or making a comic. Be nice to me it's the rules

nothing except flashing images will be given a warning. If you are sensitive to any of the above topics please proceed with caution. Trigger warnings maybe also be updated because I might have forgotten something lol

Please also note that most of these sensitive topics are based on my own personal experiences. The writing will not be focused on making it into any sort of moral messaging or teaching any lessons. In short, most of the characters are bad people and there will not be any overall "suicide/self harm/substance abuse/etc. is not the answer" message. That's for other people with different types of stories to do. I want this story to feel more real to myself. To me, pain doesn't have a deeper meaning. It just hurts. There is no feel good moral to this story. If this type of framing will make you upset then please do us both a favor and find something else to engage with.VERY IMPORTANT: While this will contain themes of discrimination, genocide and colonialism NONE OF THIS IS MEANT TO BE A PARALLEL TO ANY REAL LIFE CONFLICTS. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY OF THIS AS MY VIEWS ON ANY REAL LIFE CONFLICTS.

General Info:

  • $5USD per panels your character will be in, going up to $20USD (4 times). You can submit the same character again after that if you want too but I'll just do 4 panels at a time.

  • This is for your character to be IN THE BACKGROUND. They will be easily noticeable but not the main focus. You will not get to choose what they are doing.

  • Please note: I will fit them in as early as it works for the plot. The story will come first and I'm not going to alter it for your character. I also work 2 jobs irl so I cannot give you an estimate on when your character will be featured. It could be tomorrow, it could be a few months. Please don't message me asking when I'll have them in it or anything, I haven't forgotten I am just busy!!

  • I will also credit you for the character!

Character Requirements:

For lore reasons I cannot accept the following species:

  • Humans (obviously lol)

  • Sheep/rams/lambs

  • Bugs

  • Snakes

  • Any underwater species (semi-aquatic is okay)

  • Any mythical creatures or obvious hybrids

In general species that are featured in COTL are most likely to be accepted but don't let that discourage you from asking!

Design Rules

  • Obviously nothing bigoted lol

  • Please nothing with crazy colors (no sparkle dogs or anything that would draw attention away from the actual panel)

  • You can submit something with unnatural features (for example a fox with wings) but you must be okay with me editing the design to remove any fantasy elements. I will let you know if I plan on editing the design!

  • They cannot heavily resemble any major characters. Please note as of writing this (part I page 20) most major characters have not been shown yet. I will let you know if they look too much like an upcoming character.

  • FOR GOATS SPECIFICALLY: PLEASE NOTE I WILL EDIT THEIR EYES, TEETH AND HORNS FOR LORE REASONS. Goats will also have to be gendered by their horns for lore reasons, if this will bother you please don't submit a goat character! Also any goats will not be shown until part 2 sorry

Please put your username as the message for the donation so I know it's you. I will try to go first come first serve but like I said earlier it'll depend on when it works for the story.
